Private Cenote and Reef Snorkeling tour

Private Tour to Hidden Worlds Cenote and Zip Line!

What is a Cenote? Cenotes are natural freshwater pools with underground caves and caverns, formed because of the porous limestone ground that makes up the Yucatan.

Cenotes are found in only a few locations on earth and the world's capital is the Yucatan Penisula. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the splendor and the awe inspiring magnificence of the Cancun Cenotes. This is an experience you will never forget. Keep in mind that the stalactites (hanging down) and the stalagmites (rising up) take over 100 YEARS to form 1/4 of an inch!

The water which fills the caves today is partly saltwater, but mainly fresh rainwater. Because of the difference in density and weight, saltwater and fresh water do not mix. The fresh water rises to the top, causing an oily shimmer called the "halocline," and is a natural effect of the mixture of the two water systems.

The Cancun area is a haven for adventure-seekers looking for new challenges and places to explore. NO ONE ELSE OFFERS THIS TOUR!

The transportation on this tour is private, the actual snorkeling is not. There will be other people in the cenotes/reef with you.

FAQ:

What should we bring?
Walking shoes, a hat, camera, biodegradable sun screen, sunglasses, swim suit and towel. Tip for the driver is not included.

What kind of vehicle do we get? Does it have seat belts, insurance?
Vehicles must have Federal highway insurance, tourist plates, & passenger insurance by law. If we are caught without it they take the vehicle. I can't speak for all companies but, the price of insurance is nothing compared to losing your van. In addition all vehicles have a/c and seat belts. If you are less than 4 adults or a family of 4 we will use a car; for 4 adults or more we use a van or a suburban. A van holds 10 passengers.

Is this only for the experienced snorkeler?
No, kids as young as 4 can enjoy the natural beauty of the cenotes and reefs. Beginner and first time snorkelers will be accommodated as well as the advanced adventure-hungry. This is a tour for the young and old and an experience that will stay with you the rest of your life.

Is there a deposit? What are the cancellation policies?
Yes, we need a deposit of 15% of the total. The cancellation policy is 12 noon the day before the trip. WHY? Because we need to book the vehicle for the day. If we wait till 3 pm the day before to cancel the vehicle will have lost out doing services the next day. That is not fair to us or the driver who lives on tips. If cancelled in time a full refund will be issued that day.Cancellation Policy.

Who do we pay the balance to?
Directly to the driver on the day of the tour in CASH ONLY (US dollars or pesos). If you want to pay more than the the down payment today, please go ahead and send me an e-mail letting me know you have.
